How many eggs may I eat?
Recent studies show that eating three to four eggs per week is o.k for most people. But if you are on a low cholesterol diet, using two egg whites instead of a whole egg will provide good nutrition. Remember to use less fat when cooking.

Are eggs healthy for me?
Eggs provide lots of the essential nutrients for a balanced diet, including most of the vitamins the body needs and a wide range of important minerals. Egg yolks are one of the few foods naturally containing vitamin D. Yolks also contain more phosphorus, manganese, iron, iodine, copper, and calcium than the white, and all of the zinc.

How many calories in an egg?
Each egg has just about 75 calories. The yolk of a large egg contains about 59 calories.

Are brown eggs different from white eggs?
Egg shell and yolk color may vary, but color has nothing to do with egg quality, flavor, nutrition, cooking characteristics or shell thickness.

Should a pregnant woman eat eggs?
Eggs are rich in choline, “a nutrient which aids in foetal brain development and enhances memory function later in life”.
Eggs also play a role in weight management, muscle strength, healthy pregnancy, brain function, eye health and more. Eggs contain Vitamin B which plays an important role in preventing birth defects.

How can I tell an egg's freshness?
Cloudiness of the raw egg white is due to the presence of carbon dioxide which has not had time to escape through the shell and thus indicates a very fresh egg.
