Chairman - Egg Industry Cluster
Mark Campbell
President of the Jamaica Egg Farmers’ Association, Mark Campbell is a teacher by profession and has been an egg producer since 1981. He operates Campbell's Egg Farm in Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica and markets under the farm name as well as the "Cherries' Egg" brand.
Mr. Campbell is a true believer in the wonders of eggs and is presiding over the Jamaica Egg Farmers Association at a time when it is seeking to double egg consumption in Jamaica from an average of one to two eggs per person weekly. This would bring Jamaica in line with other Caribbean countries in the short term. Eventually, the President hopes to catch up with the developed countries where consumption is around five (5) or six (6) per person weekly.
An active community person, Mr. Campbell has served on various boards in the private and public sectors of Jamaica. Numbered among these are the Agriculture Credit Board, The Rural Agricultural Development Authority, Trelawny Co-operative Society Limited among others.
